By Fero Wed 24 Jun 2015 04:00:00 PM PDT

Hi Forsaken World Community,
Although it may feel like 2015 has just started, July is already approaching! With that, we are kicking off our summer login promotion this week. The promotion is simple: Just log into Forsaken World during the given timeframe and you’ll get free rewards via the in-game mail system! Take a look below for more details:

Start date: Thursday, June 25th, 2015 at 12:00am PDT
End date:
Thursday, July 9th, 2015 11:59pm PDT

This month's login rewards will work slightly different than in the past. This time we are announcing different tiers of rewards. The more you login to Forsaken World between June 25 and July 9, the better your rewards will be! Here are the requirements and rewards for each Tier:

*** Please wait up to 2-3 hours after your character has qualified for a tier in order to receive the mails containing your rewards. ***

  • You character must be level 45+ in order to receive the rewards. If you hit level 45 during the events, you need to login again to start qualifying.
  • You need to exit the game and relog again for the next day to count.
  • In order for a specific character to qualify for a tier, you must log into it at least once each day.
  • It doesn’t count if you stayed logged in the game continuously for 2 weeks.
  • To qualify for a Tier, you are not required to login once a day for 5/10/12 consecutive days. This means you can take a few days off in between.

Please note:
  • The items will be sent to your mailbox.
  • Rewards will be distributed to the highest level character on the account.
  • Login challenges are not repeatable. Ex: If the login criteria is 5 days and the user logs in for 10 days, they do not receive 2x of the 5-day reward..
  • The days are separated by UTC time, 12:00AM (midnight) - 12:00AM (midnight next day), except for the first and last days.
  • A character that fulfills the highest tier of requirements will receive all the rewards that apply to the tiers below it. Ex: Someone who completes the tier-3 challenge will receive T3, T2, and T1 rewards.
  • Login rewards can only be redeemed once per account. A user can only earn 1x T1, 1x T2, and 1x T3 prize, regardless of number of eligible characters and logins.

Carry on, brave warriors… Fight for glory and honor!

Level 1 decree rune box:     5000 pts

Control Training Error

Since the expansion, people have been wondering why their lower level characters are no longer getting control training when they are supposed to. Seems there was a mistake in the coding...

You can't see Jovai's level in this, but she just turned 85 and this popped up. It says she just turned level 30 and can now do control training. You can see by the pet levels that she is definitely not 30, lol.

Anima

Another way to improve your character is through anima. There are two types of anima: anima rage, which affects offensive stats; and anima shelter, which affects defensive stats.

Obtaining Your Anima

Rage: After entering the 5th floor of Hell Road, you will receive a token that you can use to buy your anima rage at Aryshi's shop on the airship. Be careful when purchasing as there are two to choose from. Choose the one that supports your character's main skills.

Shelter: This used to be obtained after successfully stopping the round 5 boss of War of the Ancients, but that is no longer the case. Now it is obtained during the main quest line. When you think it should be available to you, just go to Wine Barrel Village and talk to Obiazulu.
You have to complete the whole Polar Borderland main questline. They will occasionally say "Must be level - to complete". Once you finish the one that says you must be level 55 to complete (kill a couple sets of lizards, then sharks, then alligators, then nagas), you will be sent to Obiazulu who will send you to Hugh Sutherland. You will get an achievement saying that you complete the Polar Borderlands quests, then the guide quest scroll will appear and flash. Open it to find the Anima: Shelter quest. HERE is a complete walkthrough of this quest - it is looooooooooooooong!

Both of these are equipped by right clicking them. They fit into sockets in your Character menu (C menu). You can open the anima menus by clicking on the arrows next to them.

Leveling Your Anima

Once you get your anima, you will want to level it. If you open the anima menu, you will see an empty box. Underneath, it will say what you can put in it to level your anima. Anima charms are taken at all levels of the anima, but gear level accepted changes as the anima level gets higher.

You can obtain charms from completing the Daily Challenge (which also gives you great exp, transmutation scrolls, and champ points, so why not?). You can also get the charms by turning in WotA tokens to the bruten npc that lets you manual into WotA, or by buying the Ancestor Blessing boxes with wargod pts from Klass or the WotA npc.

Training Your Anima

Every day you can get 10 free anima training points for each anima from an npc next to the banker in the Union Hall. You can either confirm the tries that level a particular element on the anima, or you can confirm the ones that give you an overall positive training pts added. I prefer to do the overall positive, since once the anima reaches a certain number of training pts, you open a bonus skill!

If you find yourself with a lot of extra soul gold, it would be worth it to invest some in the additional trainings per day when you are having a lucky streak.

Evolving Your Anima

Once your anima reaches a certain level, it will need to be evolved. In the box that you normally put the things to your feed the anima (gear and charms) an image will appear showing you the item that the anima needs to evolve and open for more leveling.

Rage evolution items: These can only be bought from Aryshi's Mirage shop on the airship. They are kind of complicated to obtain. Every floor you complete in HR earns you ash that you can turn in for items that you can use to buy the evolution items. The lower level token items can be traded for higher level ones, so none need to go to waste. You collect these items from Aryshi's Mirage's quests that ask if you would like to exchange your ash. You can choose which ash to collect and which ash to exchange which is nice. Aryshi will hang onto your ash for as long as you like, so no need to collect each week if you are short on space.

Shelter evolution items: These can be bought by beating the bosses and trading WotA tokens at the WotA entrance npc; or, you can trade war god points to an npc in the Heroes Hall (just at the bottom of the stairs that Hugh Sutherland stands on). I would save your war god pts until after the first 4 evolutions since those are easy to get via WotA (you just need to beat each boss and turn in enough tokens to the WotA entrance npc - and there are enough groups that can get you past round 20). Round 25 is insane, so you will want to use your war god for that one.

When you evolve your anima, it will chose a random element to open next UNLESS you also pay to secure the next element. I never paid. But I did try to influence it by selecting the one I would like from the dropdown, before telling the anima to evolve. Surprisingly, it worked most times!

Bottom of the Base

On very rare occasions, when you fall in guild base, you can actually hit the bottom and stay. Here is a screenshot of Bazil's first trip to the bottom of the base.

Game Access Troubleshooting

If you are having trouble accessing the game or events that are active, try the following:

  • Use Arc bypass to get in. Arc is riddled with things that do not play well with a lot of computers.
  • Update the game via Arc update, or go directly to the updater in the game folder on your computer.
  • Verify your client.
  • Clear your cache.
  • Use "run as administrator" when logging in.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Uninstall Arc and reinstall.
  • Uninstall game and reinstall.
  • Uninstall Arc and Game and reinstall Arc and game.
  • Check your firewalls.
  • Delete all your in-game map markers.

Still not getting orbs - Completely close all your clients (Including Arc and Steam) and re open and try again. This is a caching issue and closing them clears any and all cached data.

Players missing orbs from previous days - We're working on getting them to you guys as promised. Just dont expect them to come in while the event is still live unfortunately. We'll have to address it afterwards to prevent any "Double Dipping"

Hope that helps

Where is arc's cache stored? So we can make sure it is clearing the cache.

Nevermind found it.

Arc > tmp
FW folder > cache

Close client/arc, clear both folders, login with arc. Bypass didn't work till I logged in with arc once.

edit:
I had to clear the arc tmp folder a few times while logging in all my toons. Did one account with arc logged in and one account via the bypass, didn't matter either way; still had to clear arc's tmp folder a few times to get all my toons done.
