Transmutation

These books come from completing Henry's daily challenge, drops from TM, wins from the instance roulette, one of the potential guild lottery prizes, and you can buy them at Klass Rour in Heroes Hall (with wargod pts!). You may be able to extract a scroll from these that you can use to add an attribute to your gear.

To extract the usable scroll from the transmutation book, you need a piece of gear that has the identified attribute shown on the transmutation book. The gear that you can use the successfully extracted scroll on depends on the gear that you used to extract the scroll - so if you need a transmutation on your shoulders, find a shoulder with the identified attribute that you need for the transmutation scroll. Class does not matter.

The relic pieces that you get from various instances and roulette rolls are great for purple IDs, and, really, transmutations are the only thing you can use these relics for.

Click the scroll to open up the transmutation menu.

Add the gear and any enhancing items that you may have (ex. fel quenched shards and essences). Enhancing items increase the success rate of the extraction, so use them on transmutations that you are especially interested in having.

Getting the scroll from the book+gear does have a high failure rate, so keep trying. I have been able to transmute about 1/10 pieces of gear without any enhancement items. If you have a great ID that you really want to succeed - use the best fel quenched you can. You can buy them with wargod pts at Klass Rour in Heroes Hall.

You can use purple books on blue gear. This increases the potential amount of the final scroll.

You can use blue transmutation scrolls on purple gear, but the value of the attribute added will be decreased.

You can only have one transmutation per piece of gear, but you can overwrite a transmutation you have on a piece.

  2. You can have gems in the gear when you use the scroll with the attribute attached on your gear, it doesn't affect them. The only thing adding a transmute will affect is a transmutation already on the piece of gear. BUT you should not use a transmutation book (the one for pulling an attribute off gear - which will destroy the gear) on a piece that has been upgraded or has gems in it.
