UPDATE: 02/23/2015 -- The new way to get cards is from fishing, from completing adventurer quest from El Nino, and from hunting ratkins that popup when you mine or pick materials
Sea of Oblivion cards > copper ore
Lunagrant woodland cards > quicksilver ore
Gloomy Forest cards > tin ore
Hazed Wilderness cards > zinc ore
Sleeping Jungle cards > lead ore
I don't know what materials give which type of cards, but I would assume that they linked them to the area that they originally came from. I have not gotten many ratkins from picking materials. They are far more common with mining ore. I'm guessing since Kalaires Plaines had nothing to mine that picking wild roses and lavender is the way to get those cards.

Footprints
Footprint Cards can be quest rewards, monster drops or simply picked up from certain spots. Gathering set of Footprints completes achievement. Each card can be used only once, some cards are also bound meaning you can not trade or sell them.Sometimes footprint cards also start extra quests, then Accept button is clickable.
