New Content Tonight!

The new content that we were told about is happening tonight. The server will be down approximately 5 hours. You will need to update when you log in.

Save Your Stash Before Expansion!!

PWE sent out an email warning that our account stash is going to disappear and so will everything in it.

This is only for the shared stash, not the bank safe.

However, I would advise taking screenshots of everything in your safe before the expansion - just in case. They have not announced when the expansion is to take place, so I'd advise getting this completed as soon as possible.

Sakura Petal Event

Pink sakura trees have sprung into bloom all over Nightfall! And there are of course quests to go along with it!

Next to the stash keeper near Henry, you will find Orphius. Orphius has four quests and a shop. The quests will give you items that you can use to get things from Orphius' shop.

Sakura Love has you go talk to Eurid, who is skulking around a sakura tree somewhere around Nightfall. I found Eurid outside the north gate of Nightfall. But Eurid could be under the tree outside any of the three gates depending on your realm.

Talk to Eurid to finish that quest and get your box of petals.

When I opened my bag to open the box, I also noticed a Purple Crystal Tear that I'm supposed to use to water the withering sakura tree in Judgement Square for the second quest: Withering Sakura Tree. There is a group of trees just outside of Judgement Square in the Ever Abyss.

When you hover on them, you will get a hand to pick. Activating that waters the withering trees. The easiest way yo get the hand to show up is to zoom in and aim for the trunk of the trees.

You might also get the Golden Crystal Tear. That location is just outside the gates of the Nightfall Citadel.

The blue crystal tear sends you to Freedom Harbor (non vengeance map). The trees are just outside the city gates.

The box contained 2 sakura petals.

The third quest  is Chase Away the Thief. It wants you to find the false rabbit hiding in the rabbit herd and kill it - it's a thief. If you kill the wrong rabbit, you get hit really hard and scolded.

The correct rabbit is the Sneaky Rabbit - of course! If you don't see Sneaky Rabbit, look for Observing Rabbit. Or Rabbit. Or RetiringRabbit. Pretty much any rabbit that looks suspicious :P


The last quest, Sakura's Tree Gift, wants you to complete that day's event (it's the same as the ones for your Mounted Combat quest - so a 2 for!) . Today's event, being Friday, is wota. You only have to do the 15th round, so lazy wota should be fine!

Quest List Has Disappeared

This has happened to enough people that I thought I would make a quick post about it.

You look at your quest list to find out what you should do next - but the list has DISAPPEARED!

I don't know how it happens, but it's easy enough to fix if all that happened was that you closed the list. Open the Quest menu by either clicking the book icon with the sun on it (see above) or by pressing Q (provided that you haven't reassigned that letter to another task like I have).

Click the Quest Tracker icon to open your Quest Tracker again - aka your quest list.

 

Ta-da! You can now see your quests again!

There is another possibility as to why you can't see your quest list - you may have accidentally minimized it. In that case you will have to find the quest list bar and expand it again. This bar doesn't have access to your entire screen and tends to sit on top of things my default, so it shouldn't take you too long to find it. Mine tends to disappear behind my chat box or the bar that runs along the very top of the client screen. If it gets up there, it can be difficult to pull back down to expand it again. If you can click on it at all, it does bring it to the front making it easier to move.

Goddess Day

There is a new event npc with a daily quest!

She tells you Shylia is coming to Nightfall and asks you to get flowers as an offering to Shylia. The quest sends you to the Land of Origination to talk to Flower Fairy.

The Flower Fairy asks you to pick some flowers.

The first quest asks for 10 Moonlight Roses. They are in the area right around the Flower Fairy.

As soon as you collect all 10, the quest goes on to the next step - collect 10 Golden Dream. There is an autoroute in the quest that brings you to some fairies. Kill them to get the Golden Dreams they drop.

As soon as you collect all 10, the quest advances to asking you to gather 10 Darkpurple Orchid. These are in the water next to the fairies.

Once you collect all those the quest looks like it goes back to the original quest she gave you. You don't have to start over, you have to collect the item that's in the second quest - astral powder from a shimmering star.

The autoroute stops on a tracstone in front of Twilight Hall. It's not a mistake; you fly up from there.

 Pick the shimmering star to get the astral powder; then talk to Iris, who is standing in front of the shimmering star display. Iris will give you the last ingredient - Rainbow Afterglow

Once you have all the items, bring them back to Flower Fairy. She will give you the flower that you will present to Shylia.

For completing this quest, you get the following:

Born of Terror: Choke Crystal

Capra in the Sleeping Jungle gives you this sub-quest. And it can be quite confusing if you don't pay attention to what Capra says before you take the quest. But who has time to read?

Born of Terror quest tells you to go into the Water Prison and kill the Demon to retrieve the Choke Crystal for Capra. The only way you can currently get into the Water Prison is with a party consisting of a majority of 60-69 (I believe that is the level). There can only be 2 chars with higher level than that. Cross your fingers and queue for random fissure. Good Luck!

 

 

Soulroot Quest

You get this quest from Cherry in Freedom Harbor. You can pick up the quest either in FHvengeance or the reg Freedom Harbor. There are autoroute links in the quests, but if you are in FHvengeance, they bring you to no one. And if you are in the reg Freedom Harbor they don't bring you anywhere!

You can go back to FHv every time you get a new npc you need to talk to, see the location, then go back to the reg FH to find the npc in that location. What a pain!

OR, you can just look at this map I made! :D

Although all of the npcs are in the reg Freedom Harbor map, the soulroot is in the FH Vengeance map. If you've done any of the Rebuild Freedom Harbor quests from Olliana, you'll recognize the soulroot as the narcissus grass.

That was it. I saw nothing else given to me for this quest. It's a real nice quest to do if you need exp and or sp. Otherwise, maybe skip it.
